Book Review for

Silence of the Grave

by Arnaldur Indridason

The 2nd Inspector Erlendur mystery.
An old skeleton is found at a building site. The clues lead back
to 60 years ago when the British and American soldiers were stationed
there during WWII. At the same time, another story is told, a flashback,
to a family of five where the father cruelly beat his wife in front of the
children. During the investigation, Erlendur gets a phone call from his
estranged daughter saying, "Help me." He finds her unconscious in the
street with severe blood loss, and she slips into a coma in the hospital
after a miscarriage. Another thrilling story from Indridason.
