Book Review for
Sharpe's Prey (Denmark 1807)
by Bernard Cornwell
The 5th in the Richard Sharpe series.
This fast-paced, action-packed story is about the British attack on
Copenhagen in 1807 in order to secure the powerful Danish fleet
and prevent the French from capturing it. Richard Sharpe is sent
on a secret mission to protect a British emissary as he attempts
to bribe the Danes into peacefully surrendering their ships. The
emissary turns out to be a French spy, and Sharpe must not only
fight for his life, but for the life of his new-found love as well.
A superb read.
