Book Review for
A Table in the Presence -- The Dramatic Account of How a U.S. Marine
Battalion
Experienced God's Presence Amidst the Chaos of the War in Iraq
by Lt. Carey H. Cash
An inspiring story written by a devout Christian chaplain serving in
the U.S. Marine Corps and how the marines he ministered to trusted
Christ to protect them in battle. In the midst of the smoke of battle,
fighting against the ruthless Iraqi Republican Guard and the Fedayeen
militia, soldier after soldier is protected from what should be certain
harm. How does an RPG penetrate the hull of a troop carrier, explode,
and nobody is injured? The reader will be challenged to believe in
miracles and the power of prayer after reading these eye-witness
accounts of God's intervention on behalf of American soldiers.
The book title is taken from Psalm 23:5 "You prepare a table
before me in the presence of my enemies."
